According to the article “The manhunt of Brian Laundre is over. But several big questions remain” by the CNN International, after the corpse of the 22 year old woman Gabby Petito was found in a national forest in Florida and her fiancée was believed to have returned home after a Summer road trip to without her, making him the main suspect. However, soon after, his skeletal remains were found in the Carlton reserve and more questions started to rise. The strongest theory is that he took his own life a few days after killing Gabby, this is because of the encounter of his diary and two credit cards he used after his disappearance.
