I. Thesis statement: Gun ownership has increased society’s brutality, bringing horrible situations in which children are killed in school shootings, suicide rates have gone up and there are more criminals.
II. School shootings
    A. Explanation: A School shooting is an event in which a teenager or a professor commits mass                   murder in an educational institution such as schools, universities etc.
        1. How does it happen
        2. The US
    B. Statistics: According to many studies, school shootings are more likely to happen in those                   countries in which gun ownership is legal.
        1. Number of school shootings in countries that favour gun ownership
        2. Number of school shootings against gun ownership
III. Suicide rates go up
    A. Explanation: Gun ownership facilitates an easier and faster way to commit suicide.
        1. Guns as a method to commit suicide
        2. Guns are a quicker way to do it
    B.  Statistics: According to the World Health Organisation, suicide rates are higher in those countries     in which gun ownership is legal. Not only because it's easier, but because life tends to be tougher.

IV. More criminals
    A. Explanation: People usually believe gun ownership helps protect themselves, but in reality, it only             enhances the chances of a crime happening.

    B. Explanation: Crimes tend to be more violent

V. Conclusion: To sum up, gun ownership has proved to increase society's brutality instead of protecting families in those countries in which it is legal. It enhances the chances of school shootings happening, suicide rates increase abruptly and criminals get access to dangerous weapons, making it easier for them to commit brutal assassinations. All of these pieces of evidence prove gun ownership is not a method of protection but of disgrace and murder and it should not be legal in any country.
