 Your favourite food

I love to eat and try new things: different cuisines, spices of all kinds... But if I had to choose just one food as my favourite, it would be cake. 

There are many different concepts of what a cake is, some say it's a sponge cake covered in frosting while others say that a cake is any large layered sweet. However, the type of cake I like are those idealised and perfect cakes that come to mind when you think of the famous Marie Antoinette phrase ''Let them eat cake'', I don't care so much about the taste, they are always delicious.

Usually, when someone talks about their favourite food they say nice things such as ''My grandmother used to bake me this recipe when I was little'' or ''It brings back memories of a trip''. And although it is true that my mother and I have a tradition of going for cake every time one of us has to go to the dentist or the doctor, this is not the case for me. I just like cake, so much so that on sad days I eat cake or look for pictures of cake because it makes me really happy. Can I be considered stupid for that? Maybe, but I'm not going to make up a story about why I like cake when I just like it and there is no more about it.

In conclusion, I love cake. There's no reason for me to like it so much, I know, but I love it anyway.
